Freetown, Sierra Leone — May 9, 2025 — The Jeremiah Children’s Foundation Sierra Leone has continued its mission of compassion and support by making a generous donation to the Milton Margai School for the Blind. The foundation provided 20 bags of rice and 5 bottles of cooking oil to help address food insecurity among children living with visual impairments.

This vital support comes at a time when many vulnerable communities are grappling with hardship. The donation will go a long way in ensuring that children at the school have access to nutritious meals, thereby supporting their health and wellbeing.

“This act of kindness is more than just a charitable gesture; it’s a symbol of unity and care,” said Ambassador Sheku Foryoh in his official remarks during the presentation. “The Jeremiah Children’s Foundation is committed to lifting up those in need, especially children living with disabilities who are often among the most vulnerable.”

The impact of the donation reaches beyond the physical supplies. It has ignited hope and gratitude within the community, fostering a renewed sense of compassion and shared responsibility. Parents, teachers, and community members expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the foundation’s continued support.

Founded in 2024, the Jeremiah Children’s Foundation is a UK-based non-profit organization with a strong presence in Sierra Leone. The foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children through education, healthcare, and basic needs support.

As food insecurity continues to affect many families across the country, the Jeremiah Children’s Foundation is calling on individuals and organizations to join them in their mission to create a brighter, more inclusive future for every child—regardless of ability.
