Freetown, Sierra Leone – May 9, 2025 — In a heartwarming celebration at the Deaf School Compound in Freetown, the Jeremiah Children’s Community UK Project marked its first anniversary of operations in Sierra Leone. The occasion also honored a special personal milestone—the 18th birthday of the organization’s visionary founder.
The event brought together over 900 children living with disabilities, offering a day of joy filled with food, gifts, and entertainment. The celebration highlighted the organization’s steadfast commitment to inclusive care, education, and empowerment for vulnerable children across the country.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children,” said the young Founder of the Jeremiah Children’s Community UK Project. “Our mission is to provide love, care, and empowerment to vulnerable children, and we are proud of the progress we’ve made over the past year.”
Since its launch in 2024, the project has already made a significant impact, having:
- Provided educational support to over 500 children
- Delivered healthcare services to 300 children
- Conducted community workshops on disability awareness and inclusion
The success of the initiative is a reflection of the dedication of its leadership, volunteers, and community supporters. The organization extended special thanks to Pamela Jah, the Founder’s mother and the current CEO, for her unwavering support and leadership.
“This celebration is a testament to what love, compassion, and community can achieve,” said Pamela Jah. “Together, we can continue building a brighter and more inclusive future for every child.”
