Freetown, Sierra Leone – In a heartfelt gesture aligned with the spirit of Ramadan, Jeremiah Children’s Community UK Project has extended support to underprivileged communities in Sierra Leone through a generous donation of food and water.
The organization, known for its charitable efforts across the country, has distributed 14 bags of rice and 35 bundles of water to seven mosques located in Freetown and Waterloo. This initiative aims to ease the burden of fasting families during the holy month and offer them the opportunity to break their fast with dignity.
“We are proud to be able to contribute to our community, especially during this sacred time of reflection and compassion,” said Sheku Foryoh, Executive Secretary of the Jeremiah Children’s Community UK Project. “It is our mission to spread kindness and uplift those who need support the most.”
Founded to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Sierra Leone, the organization continues to expand its humanitarian reach. This Ramadan donation drive reflects its broader goal of promoting social welfare and community solidarity.
The recipients, including worshippers and community members at the selected mosques, expressed gratitude for the timely support.
As the holy month progresses, the Jeremiah Children’s Community UK Project is encouraging more people to join the movement of generosity and kindness.
